From the 15th of december 2011 onwards, sri lankan citizens submitting a short stay visa application will be subject to a Schengen consultation. As a result of this new arrangement, the necessary period of visa instruction will be extended to at least three working days.
Therefore, we highly recommend all visa applicants, holders of an ordinary, official or diplomatic passport, to submit their visa applications at least ten days before the scheduled date of departure.
