PUBLIC NOTICE
The Embassy of France and the Foundation Alliance Française officially announce the cessation of their sponsorship and association with the institution currently known and advertised as “Alliance Française de Colombo”.
With effect on 1st January 2010, the Embassy of France, the Foundation Alliance Française and other governmental and associated French Authorities :
1. will not recognise any teaching programmes, examinations and tests (including DELF, DALF, TEF, TCF,TCF Quebec, CCIP) arranged or conducted by the aforesaid Alliance Française de Colombo ;
2. will not provide any support, assistance or recognition of any activities, whether cultural or educational, promoted or sponsored by the aforesaid “Alliance Française de Colombo”.
In due course a further communication will follow with respect to the establishment of a centre and facilities for persons interested in learning the French language and acquiring knowledge of French literature or culture.
